Job Summary
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team! The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the clinic and physician by ensuring a seamless patient experience in a fast-paced plastic surgery practice. This position is responsible for clinical support, patient flow coordination, and administrative duties while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, safety, and professionalism.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Clinical Support
• Prepare patients for physician appointments, including follow-ups, consultations, injectable appointments, and in-office procedures
• Assist the physician during consultations and procedures as needed
• Apply and monitor topical numbing agents per protocol
• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments in accordance with infection control standards
• Ensure all treatment rooms are cleaned, stocked, and prepared between patients
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and sterilization protocols
 
Patient Flow & Experience
• Manage and coordinate patient flow to ensure timely and efficient clinic operations
• Escort patients to and from treatment rooms and support patients through checkout
• Provide a welcoming, professional, and supportive environment for all patients
• Communicate clearly with front desk and clinical teams to minimize wait times
 
Administrative Duties
• Accurately scan and upload documents into patient EMR charts
• Complete and process FMLA and short-term disability paperwork in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate and organized patient records
• Assist with general administrative tasks as needed
 
Inventory & Supplies
• Monitor, order, and restock clinical and medical supplies
• Ensure all rooms are adequately stocked at all times
• Track inventory levels and communicate needs proactively
 
Qualifications
• BLS Certification or Certified Medical Assistant desired
• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in plastic surgery, dermatology, or aesthetics
• Strong understanding of clinical workflows and sterile techniques
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with EMR systems preferred
